As the push for STEM continues to drive learning (and assessment in many cases), the multiple benefits of arts education are taking a backseat or disappearing altogether. In this session, we will examine the close relationship between the arts and sciences, explore the many benefits of arts education for all students, and share arts integration activities and lesson ideas that any educator can use. Participants will collaboratively build lesson activities and create ideas to help design a Maker Space in any classroom. You don't have to be an expert in visual or performing arts to put the A in STEAM!
