We know that obesity is on the rise with young children in the US, and it is important to provide them with tools to be proactive for their own health, fitness and nutrition at a young age. Healthy bodies create healthy minds! So why not add a little movement and creativity to your language arts, science, social studies, or special area classroom?

In this session we will highlight all the types of wearable tech being utilized for healthcare and the future innovations for life-changing discoveries that can benefit us all. (Apple’s ResearcKit)
Let’s get moving and explore different fitness stations to monitor our heart rate, record motion with step tracking, and identify how many calories are burned each time.

It’s easy and fun to incorporate health, fitness, and movement throughout the school year by identifying resources to utilize, creating online collaborative health journals, and designing fitness stations within the day.
