Pitch Perfect: Design Thinking for a Personalized Learning LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Globally, educators strive to know what’s best for students, design the best learning environment, and continuously advocate for personalized professional growth. Participants will learn how to utilize “Pitch Perfect” design thinking to personalize learning for themselves, their students, and colleagues.

This two-hour think-tank workshop will move participants into an entrepreneurial mind-set and utilize moonshot thinking to explore endless possibilities. Those possibilities include building a business, pitching your ideas, and building a dynamic product to persuade the audience that your idea is worth the time or funding.

Gamestorming activities will be used to engage participants in a design challenge to develop innovative solutions to solve a problem and gain expertise for advocating for personalized learning with a start-up mindset!

Ideas to brainstorm from:
“How to create a pitch for educational resources!”
“How to pitch your case for an amazing “PL” for yourself or your team!”
“How to teach your students to “pitch”/advocate for their own learning!”

Execution:
1-Identify a challenge (Small groups will have choice in choosing a problem to solve)
2-Create an initiative that can be successfully scaled (Collaboration)
3. Design prototype solution or an online persuasive campaign (Video, GoFund Me campaign, presentation, etc.)
3-Pitch Perfect showcase (Present shark-tank style, but teacher friendly)
4. Feedback from experts (Wendy Wells, Hetlena Johnson, & special guest)

Take away: By utilizing design thinking for a “Pitch Perfect” classroom we can empower educators to personalized learning for themselves and for our students which will prepare them for future careers unknown.
