Transform Teaching and Learning With An Authentic Audience LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Students are both motivated and engaged by genuine intellectual challenges and performances. This session will explore effective and meaningful uses of technology to empower students through digital platforms such as blogging, video, crowdfunding campaigns, podcasts and much more! When we give students the opportunity to publish their work online, they want it to be really good. However, when they simply turn it into the teacher, they usually just want it to be good enough. Providing an authentic audience gives the students a specific purpose and provides clarity about the goal. It also affords the incentive that the work they’re producing is not just for the teacher or a grade.

The result is harder work by the student with much greater focus on what they’re trying to accomplish. Participants will walk away with an appreciation of an authentic audience and be equipped with some practical ways to accomplish this in their classroom.
